Everyone uses the web. It’s become a way of life. I probably use the web for up to 10 hours a day. My job relies on it. My studies rely on it. I do my banking on it. It has become second nature to me.


I am so passionate about making the web a good place – concentrating on the user and what they need. The web is about providing information and services, and no one should have to struggle when using the web..
I am Kat Ellen, 22 years old and obsessed with web design. I have wanted to be a web designer since I first discovered the internet when I was 11 years old. The power of the web is incredible, and what we as a human race has achieved is indescribable.

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Web Design and Production at the University of Canberra and also work in a User Centred Design Team for the Australian Government.

My plans for this blog site is to share my knowledge in web design, particularly in web accessibility and user centred design. I also plan to do point you to great resources available on the web, as we all know we would be lost without resources!
